Education
One of our objectives is to increase our knowledge of the African continent: its geography, history, and current conditions. To that end, we include education as part of most of our general meetings. Guest speakers include people who have travelled and worked in African countries, and people who have lived there and came to Canada as refugees or immigrants. The first-hand stories, delivered so eloquently, along with slides showing the actual conditions, help to inform us.
We thank our presenters for taking the time to share their knowledge and experience with us. It helps us to focus on the work we do.
Speakers’ Group
We have been making presentations to a variety of local organizations, from church groups to elementary and high school classes. The presentations can take a number of forms:

This nation-wide movement has been inspired by and supports the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s (SLF) Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
